Let's Talk About Pokemon - Project Intro

With our review of the Gen 1 games out, this series is almost gonna defy having an intro. Because it probably really goes without saying that Pokemon is a big deal to me, it's kinda written all over my everything. I've been with the series since very early childhood, been playing the games since, a Pokemon has lodged itself into my gender. Normal things.
For a while now, Let's Talk About Pokemon has been a bit stuck in playing eternal catch-up with having the series once be finished before they added more newfangled critters to the mix. And I found a second-wind when deciding not to just copy-and-paste old reviews over and instead rewriting and even reevaluating my opinion on different Pokemon. It feels silly to reboot the series yet again, but having a Neocities blog feels considerably more permanent than a Tumblr or Blogspot.
Just also for my sake, I feel like I have to write these from scratch rather than make it a copy-and-paste job, because then it just feels like spinning my wheels idly and brain is not fond of that, sorry.
It also feels like it makes sense to have these reviews coincide with the big mainstream game reviews, in this case, I just finished writing the Pokemon Blue and Yellow review at the time of writing this, so now's the time to talk about every Gen 1 Pokemon. And when I'm out of Gen 1 Pokemon to talk about, I'll start working on reviewing GSC, and when that review's done, start working on Gen 2 Pokemon reviews, so-on and so-forth. This'll probably mean breaks between generations will be greater, especially as generations start including more than one set of games. But it's what most makes sense in my head.
As such, it also feels like it makes sense to take an even MORE purist every-Pokemon-in-order-of-appearance route than previously. Since before, I would include Mega Evolutions in their respective lines. But I'll be holding that off until Gen 6, like I've done with all other forms. For now, it's a purist Gen 1 trot like the good ol days, baby.
Will all this result in making this series Sisyphusian task where I can't outpace new Pokemon games being made? Maybe. But at least I'll never run out of stuff to talk about! These reviews are also gonna be more structured like those of old, where there'll be less "And this headmate thinks this" asides like in the Metroid and RBY reviews. It's just primarily Vixi Prime talking and scoring these 'mons. I'm also absolving myself of daily uploads, since I made that rule while unemployed, and as such it wasn't that difficult to keep up with it as it is when I AM employed. Reviews go out when they're done, no sooner.
Sure, I'll say that wraps it up. Next time, Bulbasaur!
